“We’re Moving Forward With or Without You”
Recording details and source
A Little Context Before You Listen
This January 21, 2026 recording captures a family argument about the future of the house, money Philip says he contributed, work performed at the property, and what would happen as the family moved forward after his father’s death.
Near the beginning, Regina tells Philip, “I’m moving forward with or without you,” and then, “We’re moving forward with or without you. The house is gonna be sold.” Philip responds by describing money he says he put into the house, including money connected to the settlement he received after losing an eye. Regina disputes his account and makes her own allegations about the family finances.
Later, the discussion turns to Philip’s role in the household, the work done on the property, his mother’s future, Reynold, and the family’s plans after moving. At roughly 9:39–10:08, the conversation returns to money and Regina says she had previously been willing to walk away and say, in substance, that it would be Philip’s after their mother died, but that he had changed her mind.
Why This Recording Matters
The significance is not simply that this is an angry family argument. Regina repeatedly speaks in collective decision-making terms about what “we” are going to do, says the house will be sold, and says the family will move forward with or without Philip. The recording also preserves competing accounts about Philip’s financial and physical contributions to the home.
The recording does not, by itself, establish who was legally entitled to make decisions about the property, the accuracy of either side’s financial claims, or anyone’s legal rights. Those are disputed issues. What it does preserve is what the participants actually said, in their own voices, on January 21, 2026.
